Joe Norman is a lifelong Marylander who currently resides in Perry Hall with his wife and 3 young sons. After graduating from the Harford County Public School System in 2001, Joe went on to earn a B.S. in Physics from Salisbury University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He spent the next 10 years working as an engineer at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory before stepping down to pursue a passion for business and real estate.
Joe has been active in the community for many years. As a former Board Member and Vice President of the Perry Hall Improvement Association, Joe was instrumental in working with Councilman David Marks to secure funding for the new Northeast Elementary School (Opening 2018) and Middle School (Opening 2021). Joe has also volunteered as a youth coach in the White Marsh Recreation Council, organized Food Drives to benefit local families in need, and participated in multiple cleanups of our local roads and parks. Governor Hogan appointed Joe to the Maryland Commission of Real Estate Appraisers, Appraisal Management Companies and Home Inspectors in recognition of his commitment to the State of Maryland.
As a small business owner and employer, Joe knows what it takes to balance a budget and prioritize finite resources. He also knows that it takes sacrifice to get ahead, and will be a tireless advocate for the hardworking families of Northeast Baltimore County.
